The 4Get Me Not fundraisers consist of seven members who have all been affected by family members having Dementia. Two of our member’s mother passed away last year from Dementia who was also the aunty to two of our other members and the three other members father is living with Dementia for the last five years.

This illness is one of the least funded diseases and has very little awareness coverage.

• There are currently 750,000 people with dementia in the UK.
  
  
• There will be over a million people with dementia by 2025.
  
  
• 60,000 deaths a year are directly attributable to dementia.
  
  
• Delaying the onset of dementia by 5 years would reduce deaths directly attributable to dementia by 30,000 a year.

We are also hosting a cocktail party night at The Willow in Winchmore Hill, London N21 on 17th October 2010, from 7pm - 12pm (tickets only) to raise funds for this very worthy cause and to raise awareness.

Our aim is to raise as much money as we can for this worthy charity as well as raise awareness around Dementia. Not forgetting the extraordinary responsibility the carers have for caring for their loved ones.
